The Music of Dream West
It started out with a few songs between best friends, and ended up being one of the most influential chapters in my life.
Five years of amazing music, incredible people, and a community of fans and friends that is still a presence in my life some fifteen years later. From southern Missouri dive bars, biker rallies, no-name clubs, to backstage parties for the crew of the Rolling Stones, there’s no end to the stories and the strangeness.
This page is a tribute to those people, and to what remains of the music we recorded, which I am as excited as ever to share. It is also dedicated to the remembrance of Dan Martin, an exceptional person and talented sax player, who was taken from the world far too soon.

Hey there Phillip. Yeah, if you hear a saxophone, it’s Daniel. That intro to ‘What Now’ is one of my favorite musical moments ever. He took a simple melody that I wrote and made it something extraordinary. I still get tears in my eyes when I hear it.
Oh my! Does this bring back memories! My favorite of Dream West is “The River” — still have a tape that’s unwrapped for posterity! You all had such good music — and it warms my heart to see the pictures. Great job, Tim — wish Jon was still able to play with you. PLH (peace, love & happiness) — Deb
